Henderson Park Inn

My wife and I try to make it out here once every 3 years or so. It's perfect: quiet, peaceful, relaxing, and the vibe is on point. The fellow patrons are friendly, and the staff is incredible. Robert is a fantastic bartender. The relief bartender is also very skilled and friendly, but unfortunately her name slips my mind at the moment. Honestly, even though they don't include breakfast and a box lunch anymore, they are still well-worth the price. Couldn't recommend enough!

Not up to par Area has numerous other places to choose from Place is made of glued together plywood No pool WTH! Just worn out They should just tear it down and for what they charge, they probably prey on people who believe these misleading reviews You can walk down the street 600 feet and use another place’s pool. What a ripoff . Been there, never again. Did I mention the chef acts like he is doing you a favor. One last tidbit as soon as my wife saw their corner “best room” situated above the dining room, she broke down in tears. We were there to celebrate our anniversary. Totally disappointed DONT BELIEVE THE REVIEWS PEOPLE except this one.

Very nice and peaceful, quiet even though it was during the busy season and fully booked, and the shower window was nice to see the beach while maintaining privacy. The amenities are not 'sparkling new' but has a bed and breakfast feeling. The complimentary beach chairs and beach side beverage service was excellent. We went to the spa at the hotel across the street and was immediately hit with a different 'busy energy' when walking through compared to being at the inn. The Henderson Park Inn was exactly what we were looking for.

Second time here, made reservations for the next already. Location is the draw, most definitely, second are the staff. Very polite and gracious at each encounter. The breakfast and dinner are also a highlight as it doesn’t disappoint. Make sure to ask about the particulars around Happy hour! Even during the high season, it’s not busy. The hotel and the property to the rear share the beach in front, but the segregated the family side from the adults only. They added beach chair side service from the cantina/bar, nice touch, but didn’t partake. Having visited twice now (low and high season) I’ll be coming during low season going forward. Besides the lower room rate, the dam tourist helicopter every 10 minutes, back and fourth in front of the beach is annoying!

Absolutely not worth the price! There are way too many other places that are comparable. Pros - - parking is included in the resort fee - free snacks & drinks at any time - 1 hour free happy hour that’s included in your resort fee - no smoking or pets on the property - beach service included in the resort fee - location - you are within 5 minutes of shopping and the main highway Cons - - Very dated rooms - Small Rooms - Bed & Breakfast type feel to the property Although the Inn itself is adults only, you are surrounded by kids due to the Cantina (lunchtime restaurant at the inn that is used by both the inn as well as the family resort sister property. There’s also kids all over the beach due to the sister property as well as the property on the other side being family friendly. Many families during our stay had their own chairs that they put on the beach directly in front of the inn chairs, so all you heard directly in front of our chairs was kids screaming or parents screaming at their kids. That is not relaxing at all. We specifically paid the exorbitant price for this place because it was touted as adults only with a private beach. As someone whose kids are grown, that was what appealed to us. - Food is over-priced for lunch. $60 for two people to eat lunch is highway robbery. While I realize it’s a tourist town, for a turkey sandwich on toast, that’s absurd.
